Psalm 119 is a rich portion of Scripture that demonstrates the Psalmist's love and dedication to the Word of God. His life and priorities form the basis for this study. Much like his dedication, this study will become the basis for a deep love and dedication to the study of the Word. Practically, the study uses word studies, cross referencing, parallel passages, questions from the text, as well as questions that require an understanding of implied meanings. It encourages exploring the 'why' behind the requests and behaviors of the Psalmist and tackles memorization and meditation of key passages of the Psalm. The study would not be complete without an understanding of the poetry of the Psalm and what these poetic devices accomplish for the spiritual content and overall meaning of the Psalm. Time spent in the Word and in study will become a life transformed by God and a heart focused on God. This is what the Psalmist desired, and hopefully, will become what the reader desires as well.
